DENVER BOTANIC GARDENS ANNOUNCES FETE DES FLEURS 2008 DATE

Denver Botanic Gardens Announces
Fête des Fleurs 2008 Date 

 
DENVER—Denver Botanic Gardens’ 2008 Fête des Fleurs committee chair Kathy Coors today announced the annual Fête des Fleurs gala will take place on Aug. 15. 
 
The Fête des Fleurs gala gives Denver Botanic Gardens the opportunity to invite its closest friends to enjoy an intimate, elegant evening in the splendor of one of the finest public gardens in the country. Proceeds from this event will benefit the Gardens’ Annual Fund. Denver Botanic Gardens is a nonprofit organization that relies on gifts and fundraising proceeds to help support our educational, research, conservation and community outreach programs.
 
The Fête des Fleurs 2008 committee consists of a specially selected group of dedicated volunteers from the Denver community: Liz Arnold, Jen Connelly, Jill Dines, Patricia Dudzic, Leanne Duncan, Emily Filippini, Sara Fitzpatrick, Kelly Gallagher, Sandy Gelt, Susan Gowen, Bridget Grier, Heidi Hammell, Molly Jansen, Megan Kemper, Margot Ladd, Jennifer Watt Leuthold, Brooke Maloy, Diana Mead, Carolyn Rippey, Sheilah Smith, Kelly Stava, Kerry Vickers, Charlotte Wetzel, Jana Wilkinson and Kate Williams.

A shift in seasons is bringing significant change to Denver Botanic Gardens at Chatfield:

Denver Botanic Gardens at Chatfield - new amphitheatre re-grade

  • A new amphitheatre is being
    re-graded to provide a better experience for concert-goers with new grass, a wildflower meadow and shade trees. A permanent stage is being built and will be completed in time for the 2009 concert season.

  • Check out our new Deer Creek Discovery children’s area, which includes a whimsical tree house.
