garden fitness walks and t'ai chiStep into the Gardens every Tuesday morning, June through August, for an early morning walk through the magnificent 23 acres of blooming plants. Healthy snacks will be provided by AARP. Fitness Walks and T’ai Chi are for AARP, Denver Botanic Gardens and T’ai Chi members.

Dates:
Tuesday mornings
June 3 - August 26

Time:
7-9 a.m.

Admission:
Free to AARP and Denver Botanic Gardens members. Free also to members and students of the T’ai Chi Project. Please have your Gardens membership card ready to present at the front gate upon your arrival every Tuesday morning. Non-members will be charged a $5 donation fee for entry between 7 – 9 a.m. After 9 a.m., regular admission rates apply.

T'ai Chi class is provided by the T'ai Chi Project. T'ai Chi: an ancient Chinese discipline of meditative movements practiced as a system of exercises. Class begins each Tuesday morning on the Gardens Amphitheater at 7:15 a.m.

Children's Secret Path

Especially for kids: Get your hands dirty in the soil station!

It's a fact: The alligator drum and giant amadinda are musical instruments made from plants.

Botanical interest: Children are encouraged to interact with plants, including smelling fragrant chives (Allium schoenoprasum), touching lamb’s ear (Stachys byzantina) and soft artemisia (Artemisia schmidtiana ‘Silver Mound’).
