What is a corn maze?
Corn mazes are giant puzzles that are created through rows of corn. Pathways are cut into the corn to create an intricate design that creates a challenge to walk through with it’s numerous dead-ends and tricky pathways.

What should I bring to the Corn Maze?
Good walking shoes and appropriate clothing are necessary to walk a maze. (Remember, you will be walking through a cornfield), sun screen, and a willingness to get lost! Please remember to bring a backpack or heavy-duty stroller for smaller children.

How long will it take me to go through the maze?
It will take approximately an hour to complete the maze.

Do you have restrooms?
There are portable restrooms available on-site.

What types of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, credit, and debit cards. There is not an ATM available on-site.

Are pets allowed in the maze?
There are no pets allowed in the Corn Maze or on the grounds of Denver Botanic Gardens at Chatfield.

Can I get lost in the maze and not be found?
No, during busy times we will have “corn cops” stationed in the maze. They are there to help guide you through the maze and answer any questions you may have.

Is alcohol permitted at the maze?
No alcohol is permitted on the grounds at Denver Botanic Gardens at Chatfield.

Can I purchase food at the maze? Can I bring my own food?
There are 13 picnic tables available on the grounds and there will be vendors selling a variety of foods and harvest treats. You may also bring your own picnic to enjoy on the grounds at Denver Botanic Gardens at Chatfield.

Can larger groups rent the maze for a private event?
Yes, large groups can rent the maze during off-hours. Please contact the Chatfield facility rental team at 303.973.3705.

Denver Botanic Gardens at Chatfield - new amphitheatre re-grade

  • A new amphitheatre is being
    re-graded to provide a better experience for concert-goers with new grass, a wildflower meadow and shade trees. A permanent stage is being built and will be completed in time for the 2009 concert season.
