Denver Botanic Gardens offers a wealth of exciting programs on a wide range of topics. Join us to develop new skills, acquire new tastes, meet new friends and travel behind the scenes at the Gardens. Hands-on workshops introduce you to projects and topics such as garden sculpture; making herbal vinegars, preserves, tinctures or cleaning products; edible wild plants and much, much more.

  • New programs at our beautiful Denver Botanic Gardens at Chatfield site such as bird walks, cooking classes and art workshops.
  • An all-new ‘Urban Homesteading’ series designed to help you grow your own food and pursue many other sustainable skills in your own backyard.

Especially for kids: Get your hands dirty in the soil station!

It's a fact: The alligator drum and giant amadinda are musical instruments made from plants.

Botanical interest: Children are encouraged to interact with plants, including smelling fragrant chives (Allium schoenoprasum), touching lamb’s ear (Stachys byzantina) and soft artemisia (Artemisia schmidtiana ‘Silver Mound’).
